We are seeking an Hematopathologist with strong general surgical pathology skills. We are a group of eight pathologists providing services to three hospitals in Scottsdale, Arizona. It has a high volume of general surgical pathology (breast, GU, GYN, GI) and hematopathology, including supporting an active bone marrow transplant and leukemia service.
Candidates should possess strong general surgical pathology skills, a good work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Aside from general sign-out, frozen section interpretation, cytology quick read interpretations, and rare fetal autopsies, the position requires participation in tumor boards, discussions with clinicians, and laboratory staff interaction.
Education Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship in Hematopathology.
Licensure & Certification
- Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABP).
- Subspecialty board certification or eligibility in Hematopathology by the American Board of Pathology.
- Current or eligible for unrestricted Arizona Medical License.
