Job Summary
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Surgical Pathologist with pediatric pathology expertise to join our Florida-based pathology team. The candidate will provide diagnostic services in general surgical pathology and pediatric pathology while collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and diagnose general surgical and pediatric pathology specimens.
- Perform gross and microscopic examination of tissue samples and issue pathology reports.
- Provide frozen section and intraoperative consultation services as needed.
- Collaborate with clinicians, surgeons, and oncology teams regarding diagnostic findings.
- Participate in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and laboratory improvement initiatives.
- Attend tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences.
- Support teaching, mentorship, and/or research activities when applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of AP or AP/CP pathology residency training.
- Fellowship training or significant experience in Pediatric Pathology preferred.
- Board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP.
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure.
- Strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology and pediatric pathology.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
