Overview
A leading academic medical institution is seeking an Academic Hematopathologist to serve as Division Director within the Department of Pathology, Division of Hematopathology. This full-time faculty position involves leading a team of 10 hematopathologists while contributing to broader departmental leadership.
The successful candidate will provide diagnostic hematopathology services, engage in teaching and research, and pursue nationally recognized investigations.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative, educational, and academic leadership for a team of hematopathologists
- Participate in departmental leadership initiatives
- Recruit and grow a high-performing hematopathology team
- Deliver comprehensive diagnostic hematopathology services (bone marrow, lymph node, pediatric cases, flow cytometry, and general hematology)
- Actively contribute to divisional teaching, research, and educational programs
- Lead or participate in nationally recognized basic, clinical, or translational research with external funding
- Collaborate with leading academic, industry, and research partners
- Support an NCI-designated cancer center focused on hematologic clinical and research excellence

Requirements
- MD or DO with board certification in Hematopathology
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
- 10+ years of experience (Associate Professor or Professor level)
- Experience in a large hospital-based hematopathology service preferred
- Experience in molecular hematopathology preferred
- Strong, proven academic track record
