The duties of this position include signing out of general surgical pathology, cytology, immediate evaluation of frozen sections and EUS FNAs, as well as coverage of laboratory medical directorships at nearby rural hospitals. No autopsies, bone marrows, medical kidney, and no PAPs.
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- AP/CP board certification in pathology.
- Completion of a surgical pathology fellowship or other subspecialty fellowship in pathology. Cytopathology fellowship preferred, but not required.
- Must be eligible for or currently possess a valid Indiana medical license.
- Interest in medical laboratory directorship opportunities.
- Ability to operate independently (perform frozen sections) as occasion requires.
- Professional collegiality.
