Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Consultation: Provide expert guidance to clinical laboratory staff and consulting physicians on cytogenetic findings to maximize quality patient care.
- Laboratory Operations: Oversee the processing of patient samples, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in rendering diagnoses and prognoses of acquired and inherited cytogenetic disorders.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance and improvement programs to maintain laboratory accreditation and compliance with internal and external proficiency testing standards.
- Assay Development: Assist in the validation and improvement of laboratory assays to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
