Job Description
We’re seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist with expertise in Cytopathology to join a thriving, hospital-based practice in Brunswick, Georgia—a stunning coastal community nestled between Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL. This full-time position offers the opportunity to practice in a collegial, physician-led group with robust subspecialty support and access to a broad mix of pathology cases.
This role is ideal for a fellowship-trained or experienced cytopathologist, including recent graduates, who enjoys working with clinicians and supporting high-quality, patient-centered diagnostic care. Experience or comfort with general surgical pathology is also welcome.
Visa Sponsorship:
This position is eligible for J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship, if needed.
Highlights:
- Primary focus on cytopathology, including gynecologic and non-gynecologic cases
- Participate in ultrasound-guided FNA clinics and evaluate adequacy of cytologic specimens
- Perform frozen sections and assist with oversight of clinical pathology services, as needed
- No autopsy requirement
- Infrequent call duties
- Access to CAP USFNA AP3 training (funded, if needed)
- Join a collaborative group of 45+ pathologists with varied subspecialties
Key Responsibilities:
- Cytopathology sign-out, including gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology
- Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) evaluation
- Frozen section interpretation and intraoperative consultation
- General surgical pathology sign-out support, as needed
- Clinical pathology oversight responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology
- Eligible for Georgia medical license
- Strong diagnostic and communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care
